Hearty Lives Cookstown recently launched an interactive resource called Stub out Joe’ to help prevent children and young people in the Cookstown area becoming smokers.
The pack was developed with the help of teachers who can use this in their classrooms to help educate children and young people in an interactive and fun way about the dangers of smoking.
The launch was well attended by local school teachers and youth workers. Rory Miller from British Heart Foundation Youth Department gave a short presentation which provoked some interesting discussion.
If you require further information on this interactive resource please contact Florence Hand, Health Improvement Service, Northern Health and Social Care Trust, telephone, 028 25 635575.
