The final Phase of Cookstown's Multi Sectoral Tendering Programme opens for Applications from interested businesses on Wednesday 11th January 2012 with a closing date of 4pm on Thursday 9th February 2012.

The Programme Board responsible for the delivery of the new Joint Services Training College Desertcreat, held an information evening for the local Cookstown community on Tuesday 25th Oct 2011 in the Glenavon Hotel.
Desertcreat College given Formal Approval to Proceed
Cookstown District Council welcomed the announcement that Desertcreat College has been given formal approval to proceed. The Chairman of Cookstown District Council, Councillor Sean Clarke, welcomed this historic announcement. In a Council Statement he said;
Community Project at The Beacon Playgroup
On 15th June 2011 the Chair of Cookstown District Council, Cllr Sean Clarke, launched the latest Community Project completed by students from the Princes Trust in partnership with the Good Relations Office at Cookstown District Council. The Princes Trust run a 10 week development programme for 16-25 year old unemployed persons.
Rural Enabler Programme
The Rural Community Netwoek's Rural Enabler Programme is aimed at assisting rural communities develop ways to deal with the things that still divide us in Northern Ireland and the Border Counties of Ireland.
