The Programme Board responsible for the delivery of the new Joint Services Training College Desertcreat, held an information evening for the local Cookstown community on Tuesday 25th Oct 2011 in the Glenavon Hotel.
Cookstown District Council welcomed the announcement that Desertcreat College has been given formal approval to proceed. The Chairman of Cookstown District Council, Councillor Sean Clarke, welcomed this historic announcement. In a Council Statement he said;
